career spanning two decades, Tom has received more than two dozen awards for creative achievement, including recognition from the American Advertising Federation and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles. In 1999 and again in 2002, fellow portrait artists honored Tom as one of ten finalists in the Portrait Society of America's International Portrait Competition. He also was honored in 2001 with one of four special Merit Awards from the same organization.

Tom is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists and a founding member of the Portrait Society of America. He is also a charter member of The Portrait Institute in New York.

Tom brings a fresh, innovative approach to portraiture, capturing the inner personality and energy that makes each of his subjects unique.
